SU-CASA Artists

A Program of the Lower Manhattan Cultural council // Spring 2026

For the second year in a row, the after-image was named a SU-CASA Artist by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Throughout April & May 2026, Zahydé and Amy facilitated bi-weekly, collaborative theater-making workshops at the STAR Older Adult Center in Washington Heights.

From initial improvisation, to script writing, to rehearsing and performing, participants were involved in every facet of co-creating a short play titled, Fiesta en el Parque // Party in the Park. Celebrating its premiere on May 28th, this original new play follows a vanished thermos of coffee and the group of friends that attempt to solve the mystery, only to uncover what matters most.
